PSAL baseball round-up: Petrides completes a long day for MSIT

Zenel Ravja went the distance, allowing seven hits, one run and struck out three as Petrides upset McKee/Staten Island Tech, 3-1, in Staten Island A baseball Saturday afternoon. Keith Dragonetti had two RBIs and David Martinez had another as the Panthers improved to 3-11.

The Sea Gulls (10-4), meanwhile, received six solid innings of work from Kevin Finley and Joseph Trezza had an RBI, but lost their second game of the day. Tottenville beat them, 5-2, in the morning.

Tottenville 2, Curtis 0:
Jonathan Silva tossed a five-hit shutout and struck out eight, Greg Tauriello and Thomas Cavallino each drove in a run and Kevin Krause scored twice for Tottenville (12-1) in Staten Island A. Curtis is 9-7.

Madison 19, Canarsie 2:
Joseph Calascione had two hits and four RBIs, John Yuksekol drove in three runs and Eddie Lenahan scored four runs for Madison (10-3) in Brooklyn A East. Canarsie is 2-11.

George Washington 16, Bayard Rustin 9: Erick Roman had two hits and four RBIs, Xyruse Martinez, Mike Antonio, Nelson Rodriguez and John Estrella each drove in two runs and Jordan Polanco and Jordan Lopez scored three runs apiece for George Washington (13-0) in Manhattan A East. Bayard Rustin is 5-5.

Stuyvesant 9, Murry Bergtraum 2: Nolan Becker homered and had two RBIs, Kyle Yee scored three runs and Nick Gallo struck out five in 5 1/3 innings pitched to earn the victory for Stuyvesant (9-2) in Manhattan A West. Murry Bergtraum is 1-9.

Riverdale/Kingsbridge 2, Smith 1: Yahnny Arias had an RBI and scored a run, Justin Santiago tripled, scored a run and struck out 15 for the victory for Riverdale/Kingsbridge (11-0) in Bronx B North. Smith is 8-5 in Bronx B South.

Grady 14, All City Leadership 10: John Serrano and James Smith each had three RBIs, David Dockery scored three runs and Smith struck out 10 for the victory for Grady (5-6) in Brooklyn B South. All City Leadership is 6-3.

HS for Construction 6, Flushing 5: Nicholas Long had two hits and three RBIs and Charles Russell II drove in two runs for HS for Construction (5-6) in Queens B North. Flushing is 6-5.

Arts & Business 9, August Martin 0: Frederick Tolentino had four hits and scored three runs, Heriberto Calderon homered and scored twice and Carlos Collado tossed a complete-game two-hitter and struck out 13 for Arts & Business (5-5) in Queens B Central. August Martin is 1-11 in Queens B South.
